Daisy Journey: 5 Flowers, 4 Stories, 3 Cheers for Animals

Since we were only able to participate in one year of Daisies, we would not be able to do all three Journeys as a troop.  Bug-A-Boo really wanted to do all three so she could get her Journey Summit Award.  She was also very interested in the 3 Cheers for Animals Journey, so we did them at home just the two of us.

I basically followed the Adult Leadership guide and we completed the Journey and she earned all of the awards.  We would work together on the weekends and we had a lot of fun.

We made the Team Animal Mural where we placed the different animals from around the world that we learned about.  (Session #1, Pg. 30)

We also built the Team Birdbath.  The birdbath is where Bug-A-Boo could place pictures of animals and ideas about caring for animals.  (Session #1, Pg. 32)

Bug-A-Boo also made the All About Me Nest.  The nest will hold all the things she knows and learns along this journey that represent how she cares for herself.  (Session #2, Pg. 41)

We went on a Field Trip to Pet Palace to learn about caring for animals in order to earn the Red Robin award.

To complete the project she made a digital collage about caring for animals and posted it on Facebook.
