Princess and the Frog Tiana's Cookbook - Tuesday

Today I kept things simple.  This sandwich is messy, easy and yummy!

The menu is set...

Big Daddy's Po'Boy Sandwich
Potato Chips

BIG DADDY'S PO'BOY SANDWICH
Serves 1

This sandwich is traditionally made with roast beef and gravy, but you can substitute just about any lunch meat you like.  If you want yours with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, be sure to order it "dressed," as we say in New Orleans.

INGREDIENTS:
French roll or large hunk of French Bread
Mayonnaise
Shredded Lettuce
Tomato Slices
Sliced Roast Beef
1/4 to 1/2 cup warm beef gravy

DIRECTIONS:
1.  Slice the roll or bread in half lengthwise and lightly toast both halves.

2.  Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the roll.  Layer on shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and plenty of roast beef.  Then spoon gravy on top of the roast beef.

3.  Cover the sandwich with the top half of the roll and serve immediately.
